Accounting and auditing training can seem like a necessary evil: Shuffle employees to boring courses, hope they’ve learned the differences between U.S. GAAP and IFRS (or some other topic du jour), check the box that you’ve completed your requirements, and move on to other matters.
With GAAP Dynamics, there’s a better way.
E3: The GAAP Dynamics Difference
- We are Experts: We are qualified accountants with extensive experience in U.S. GAAP and IFRS from years of working at Big 4 accounting firms auditing multinational companies. We develop and present complex topics in real language your employees understand — tailored to your needs and budget.
- We are Educators: Our professional trainers combine modern course design and educational principles to help learners absorb the information. Plus, using our real-world experience as auditors, we are able to ensure the discussion is applicable.
- We are Energetic: Our passion and enthusiasm help make your accounting and auditing training courses not just educational, but also engaging and relevant, dramatically increasing knowledge retention.
We eat, breathe, and sleep effective accounting and auditing training — because we know when learners are engaged, they have the power to transform accounting firms and companies. We feel like we’ve reached the summit of Kilimanjaro when we find a new, interesting approach to ASC 606 revenue recognition training or when we teach the differences between U.S. GAAP and IFRS using “real life” financial statements. Effective training pays off.
Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Engage me and I learn." – Benjamin Franklin
Sharing our expertise and energy with clients who are used to a more mundane approach and helping them reach their “summit” is as thrilling to our team of professional educators and experienced CPAs as any climb could ever be.
Our passion for accounting and auditing training is evident in everything we do and we’re proud to apply our expertise to support accounting firms and companies worldwide.
How We Reimagined Accounting and Auditing Training
GAAP Dynamics founders Mike Walworth and Richard Stokes honed their training skills instructing courses together at KPMG’s European Training Centre in Brussels, Belgium. Combining their expertise as CPAs with witty banter and unconventional training styles, their classes became legendary at KPMG.
Mike and Richard knew they were onto something (accounting and auditing training that didn’t put people to sleep!), so in 2001, they founded GAAP Seminars to bring their services to a wider audience. Since that time, we have added many more education-focused CPAs. And along the way, sharing our passion for accounting with our clients by creating tailored and engaging learning experiences remains unchanged. Although Richard Stokes has since retired, the legacy that he and Mike built lives on.
In 2015, we changed our name to GAAP Dynamics to better capture our training philosophy and client value. Dynamics is a branch of physics concerned with the forces that stimulate growth, development or change within a system — the exact same transformations that our effective training creates for our clients.
