For Rachel, it was always easier to perform an audit when she knew the “why” behind the procedures she was performing. As a GAAP Dynamics Training Specialist, she strives to create interactive and memorable training offerings that explain the “why.”  Rachel enjoys working to break down the technical intricacies of the accounting guidance to make it easier to understand and apply.

Rachel gained hands-on experience and insight working as a Manager at a regional public accounting firm for eight years, specializing in financial institutions. Her experience includes both internal and external audits of private and public companies, as well as consulting.

Outside of work, you can find Rachel exploring the outdoors with her husband, Tyler. Her love of outdoor adventure started at a young age, growing up exploring the wild and wonderful state of West Virginia. Rachel loves to go hiking and camping and is enjoying learning to fly fish! When she isn’t traveling on a new adventure, you can find Rachel gardening, enjoying wine at a local vineyard with friends, or spending time in Winchester, Virginia, where she currently resides.
