Besides Accounting Training, What Do Accountants Want for Christmas?

Dear Santa,

We hope this letter finds you well and ready to make your annual trek around the world. The people at GAAP Dynamics are all nestled at home, taking some well-earned time off from a busy year providing accounting training to CPAs around the world. As such (and since I know they are on the “nice” list), I thought I would compile their Christmas “wish lists” and send it to you directly:

Chris Brundrett

All I want for Christmas is to spend time with family and friends, and to finally move into my newly completed workshop. It’s about time I get back to my favorite hobby of working on cars in 2016. My very sad and tired MG waits!

Amber Albert

All I want for Christmas is for my brothers, sisters, and I to be together on Christmas day! This is the first Christmas that we will not be together. I will miss the silly Christmas traditions that we usually all do together such as wearing matching PJs and watching Christmas movies on Christmas Eve!

Doug Lamb

All I want for Christmas is happiness for all of those I know and love! Happiness is always an option, it’s always free, and it’s available to everyone. Happiness is also contagious and there is no greater gift than sharing your happiness with others!

Pamela Swecker

All I want for Christmas is peace. And I don’t just mean world peace (while that would truly be the best gift ever, I’m not very confident Santa can deliver on that wish). I would like to have peace in my daily life, brought about by being more organized and doing a better job of managing my (and my family’s) time. And please, oh please, let there be peace between my children because the constant bickering is exhausting!

Ben Davenport

Figure out these rhymes to discover a Christmas miracle!

All I want for Christmas is:

  • A way to keep my two hands free but shine a light for all to see,
  • An instrument that ingests pellets, causes clay to break, and shells it,
  • A stack of timbers, bricks, or glasses which shelters love and protects lasses;
  • And one last thing, I hope and pray, to wake up with no news one day.

Christine Leese

All I want for Christmas this year is a pair of silky soft, super warm, super comfortable sleeping socks. Getting a good night’s rest is one of the best gifts that I give myself for having a happier, healthier, more productive, and abundant life. And sleeping socks make a surprising difference in the quality and quantity of sleep I get at night. As I have gotten older, I am finding my list gets shorter every year and that I get more benefits, joy, and happiness from the simple things in life!

Paul Griscom

All I want for Christmas is for my wife and I to welcome a happy and healthy new baby in the upcoming year. We are expecting our second child in May 2016 and have a little more than five months to prepare ourselves, as well as our 1-year old son since I do not think any of us really knows what to expect!

Vicky Hale

All I want for Christmas is a nursery for baby Hale! She’ll be here in just a few short weeks and her nursery is still just a big empty room. I can’t wait to fill it with everything she’ll need when she makes her debut.

Bob Laffler

I want the perfect pair of slippers to go with the pajamas that I wear all day while developing course materials. I also want to complete a hike from my home in La Quinta, over a mounting, and into the “Living Desert” where I will meet up with my family and see the Christmas lights.

Deb and Brian Broek

All we want for Christmas is a safer world, free of terrorist attacks and more full of love and peace.

That’s a nice wish. I told you our people are the best! As for me, even though I might be on the “naughty” list, I wish for a chance to decompress from work, spend time with my 3 wonderful children, and give my wife quality time with me so I can speak her “love language!”

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a safe, happy, and healthy New Year!

Best regards,

Mike
