Hooray! Busy season is done, spring has sprung, and, at least in the United States, everyone’s having fun like the pandemic has had its run (unlike in China where they’re in isolation). OK, enough word play. I’m not here to argue global health policies, but, regardless of your beliefs, I think we can all agree that the pandemic has changed the way we work. If not fully remote, most companies are adopting a hybrid model, allowing employees to work from home, at least for a few days a week. And, in my opinion, this change is here to stay.
This means that companies must also change the way they train their people. While live, classroom training is starting again after a two-year hiatus (and we are excited to hit the road again), companies are realizing they have to offer options for their remote workers. This means creating a hybrid training model, consisting of both synchronous (live, instructor-led training either on site or via webinars) and asynchronous (self-study options like eLearning and microlearning) courses. And, if you’re like most of our accounting firm clients, you probably offer a ton of instructor-led courses but are looking to expand your eLearning course offerings. Well, look no further than GAAP Dynamics! We’ve got options to fit every need and budget.
Option #1: Converting Your Existing Content Into eLearning
You provide us with your existing content (e.g., slides, webinar recordings, other videos, scripts, and audio) that has been fully reviewed and we take it from there! We take your content, and using your eLearning template, we program a NASBA-compliant eLearning course. If you don’t have all the necessary content or the NASBA-required elements (e.g., learning objectives, glossary, knowledge check questions, and post-course assessment questions), we can provide these items for an additional fee.
Our base fee (starting at $20,000) includes delivery of a SCORM package of a fully reviewed, NASBA-compliant eLearning course. The ultimate fee depends on the level of interactivity and customization, as well as how much content you bring to the table. The process to convert your existing content into an eLearning course usually lasts between 4-6 weeks, including review by your subject matter experts and the required levels of testing within your LMS.
This option is perfect for companies that have the content, but don’t have the bandwidth to program all the courses that are needed. Check out this post on how we helped a Big 4 firm by creating self-study courses from recorded webinars since the beginning of the pandemic.
Option #2: Licensing Our eLearning Content
Assuming you start from scratch, it takes around 350-400 hours to produce ONE, 1-hour eLearning course. As a result, building a comprehensive eLearning library in-house is not an option for most firms. You likely don’t have the resources and, even if you did, people with technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS are usually in high demand!
With access to our comprehensive U.S. GAAP eLearning library or our expanding IFRS eLearning library, you can allow your subject matter experts to continue to serve your clients while we provide the technical accounting content you need to train your professionals. We also have eLearning course collections for the banking, insurance, and investment management industries. Whether used as a prerequisite before an instructor-led course or as a “just in time” resource for the audit team, the ways you can use our eLearning library of over 100 courses and collections is endless!
We can license individual courses, collections, or even entire libraries. And the courses can either be hosted on our LMS or yours, giving you ultimate flexibility in how the training is delivered to your professionals. The following discounts (from the listed price) apply to bulk purchases:
- 10% discount (10 – 25 learners)
- 20% discount (26 – 50 learners)
- 30% discount (51 – 100 learners)
- 50% discount (101+ learners)
Want to give access to more than 1,000 professionals? Interested in multi-year licenses? Let’s talk about additional savings opportunities!
We’re currently licensing individual U.S. GAAP eLearning courses to a Big 4 firm in the U.S., where the courses are being hosted on their LMS using Content Controller by Rustici Software. We’ve also utilized our U.S. GAAP eLearning library to provide a virtual training solution for a large, U.S. bank during the pandemic and to implement a blended learning solution for a Big 4 member firm in the Caribbean. And we are in late-stage discussions with a large, international accounting firm for a multi-year license for our comprehensive IFRS eLearning library to be available worldwide! Fingers crossed.
At GAAP Dynamics, our brand promise is to deliver high-quality training that we would want to take ourselves. And we’ve been delivering on this promise, whether in the classroom or online, for over twenty years. If you’re looking to expand your online course offerings, contact us to discuss options and pricing. We can also give you a code to try out our eLearning for free.
