What is a bank? How do they make money? And why are they so special? Don't worry, we answer these questions (and more) in this CPE-eligible, eLearning course (1.5 CPE). Join us as we walk through the core activities and key transactions of a bank to provide an overview of this specialized industry. For each of the core activities, we introduce you to the area, provide a high-level overview of initial and subsequent accounting in accordance with U.S. GAAP, review the key accounting issues, and briefly look at the related disclosures using "real-life" financial statements of a bank.
