What do I post? 4 ideas to create engaging social media content

It’s safe to say that social media is a super important marketing element for any brand – it helps your company connect with potential customers, engage with current fans, and share new and exciting company offerings. However, it can be tough to come up with ideas for content that will engage your viewers. Luckily, some of the best content to utilize for your social media posts is probably already in your hands! Today, we’re sharing our top four ideas for utilizing your current content to create engaging social media posts!

#1: Accolades & quotes

Sharing key accolades and quotes is a great way to demonstrate the impact and relevance of your brand. With permission, sharing testimonials from past clients can be very impactful, and is a perfect way to showcase past successes to potential customers. Similarly, sharing key quotes from your company’s leadership – about your brand, company values, your product, or relevant industry comments – is a great way to display leadership in your industry and expertise in your field. To best share these quotes, don’t just hide them away in a post caption – instead, create an eye-catching graphic that will grab viewers’ attention, or better yet, ask past clients to record a short video sharing what they loved about your product or service and why they would recommend you to others.

#2: Team introductions & behind-the-scenes

Adding a personal touch to your social media posts helps a brand feel less like a company and more like a friend. Keeping these posts personal and visual are important. Introduce new team members by sitting down with them for a fun, low-key interview – and be sure to share pictures so followers can put a face to the name! Share company teambuilding events with short, informal videos that provide viewers with a sneak peek of the fun your team has behind the scenes.

#3: Product in use

Providing your followers with a sneak peek of your product or service helps them understand how it will work, and also helps them picture themselves utilizing it. Videos walking a viewer through the user interface of a program, photos showcasing a popular product in use, and posts explaining helpful troubleshooting techniques are all posts that will resonate with your followers. And of course, don’t forget to let followers know how to contact you with any questions they may have about these products, to encourage conversation with your target audience!

#4: Premium content & free resources

You can make page after page of beautiful useful content for your viewers – but it isn’t helpful to anyone if they never see it! Free knowledge resources such as your company blog showcases the depth of your expertise, and helps followers view you as a knowledge leader in your field. Premium downloadable content like pamphlets, infographics, and eBooks are perfect to share on your social media platforms. Try sharing snippets from them that are visual and eye-catching – a great photo or helpful infographic – and guide followers to your website to download the entire resource.
