Powered by GAAP Dynamics, the Revolution is a learning platform that brings together engaging content and motivated learners in an online environment. It has been a labor of love and a continuous work in progress for me and our digital learning team here at GAAP Dynamics ever since the idea was conceived way back in 2017. We made that dream a reality in September of 2018 when we initially launched the Revolution with a handful of U.S. GAAP courses. Fast forward to today, and our collection has grown to over 50 courses and course collections, covering U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and industry-specific training! As many of our clients, customers, and blog readers are aware, last week was a big week here at GAAP Dynamics as we liberated ourselves from a learning management system (LMS) that was holding us (and our clients) back and we successfully re-launched the Revolution on a new platform! Let’s take a moment to explore some of the highlights of this new and improved Revolution for you, our customers and clients!
1. Better Organization (for the learner AND the administrator)
One of our chief complaints of our old system was that it was nearly impossible to find information! Whether it was a new course for sale or a specific report, the organization of the system was lacking. With the new and improved Revolution, there is a place for everything, and everything is in its place!
From the learner’s perspective, we are able to organize and sort our content into various catalogs, such as:
This helps our learners quickly navigate to the content that most interests them. You can also use the various filter options or the search bar to quickly find exactly what you’re looking for within the Revolution.
From an administrator’s perspective, the organization is a dream! We can sort our learner listing into various branches based on our clients. This allows us to quickly customize reporting to meet each individual client’s needs. We can also provide our clients’ learners with a more tailored experience by customizing their Homepage with their logo and branding. From a content perspective, we can organize content by versions, allowing us to release new versions of content WITHOUT impacting the progress of those learners already in progress on previous versions of the training. This is something we were, shockingly, unable to do in our previous system.
2. Sleek learner interface
From the moment you log into the new and improved Revolution, you’ll see the difference! Our new Learner Interface puts you in clear control of your learning. You’ll have visibility into your progress through your learning and you’ll know exactly which courses are not yet started, are in progress, or are complete. Helpful buttons and links on the side of the page help you quickly access important information, like your CPE certificates or our Support Desk.
The menu in the top left corner of your homepage will help you access other important resources, like our Course Catalog, your transaction history, and your learner dashboard.
With this new interface, it is crystal clear what needs to be done, by what date, and where to look for help if questions arise!
3. Reliable and accurate reporting
Some of our biggest clients have hundreds of learners on our platform. And all of those learners have different combinations of training that needs to be completed at different times. In those scenarios, accurate reporting is of the utmost importance. The main reason that we migrated away from our previous learning platform provider was the fact that their reporting was consistently inaccurate and unreliable. Something we battled for years before finally saying “ENOUGH!” Boy are we glad we did!
Our new and improved Revolution allows us to create custom reports to meet each client’s needs and SCHEDULE those reports to be sent on the day and at the frequency of their choosing. They can have the report they need waiting in their inbox when they open their computer and pour their morning coffee! How great is that?
Not only that, but we can now give our client administrators access to run reporting themselves, should they need that ability. That way, if a partner asks for a real-time update on how many people have completed this year’s Audit Update, the client administrator can pull the report and provide an answer in minutes. No more waiting us on to pull reports and email them back!
4. More client customization
One of our favorite features of our new learning platform is the ability we have to quickly customize and tailor the experience for our corporate clients. We can quickly and easily change the header image, the button colors, and more to reflect YOUR logo, branding, and colors, instantly giving the site a custom feel and making your learners feel at home on the learning platform.
